Enjoy your Summer break, crafting your very own ceramic furniture and homewares pieces!! Some ceramic projects that we have decided to include are a coiled side table, a slab mirror, a coiled lamp, and a few other surprise goodies ;-)

Included in your three day making fest, will be a range of demos, research time, and lectures to help guide your ceramic practice and give you a range of skills to take away from the course.

WHEN, WHERE, AND WHAT TO WEAR:

When: Friday the 2nd of January until Sunday the 4th of January

Time: 10 am - 3 pm (one hour lunch from 12 - 1 pm), and 2-hour studio access from 3 - 5 pm

Where: Pot Dispensary, 425 Chapel Street

What to Wear: Comfy clothes you’re happy to get messy in

What to bring: A notepad and a pen

Teacher: Alexandra (studio owner)

Accessibility: This workshop will take place in our upstairs studio, which is accessible only by stairs

CLASS STRUCTURE:

10 am - 10:30 am: Arrive at the studio. Each day starts with a lecture/ technical demo or presentation of the works from the day before.

10:30 am- 12pm: Researching/ designing/ making

12 pm - 1 pm: Lunch (studio will be open for use if you wish to continue making), the course does not include lunch but food options are plenty on Chapel Street & in the Prahran market and we have a lovely balcony you can eat at.

1 pm- 3pm: Another demo/ lecture or a continuation of the morning project

3 pm - 5pm: The course finishes for the day, but you will have 2-hours of unassisted studio time to finish any pieces you are working on.

5 pm: The studio closes for the day - all works from the day must be finished or taken home with you to continue working on them.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH YOUR PIECES:

All pieces will be fired for you by the studio, within a 4-8 week window. All pieces will be glazed in one colour (chosen by you).
